This is the first year I've really done themed Canada Day nails. Usually I would paint them red and white, but this time I decided to do something a little more fun. It definitely isn't like those amazing intricate freehand designs I have seen on others, but for me I'm pretty proud of it. I did the dots and lines myself, and they turned out fairly neat for my non-artistic self.

It looks like a lot going on at first. but it really is pretty simple. There are four polishes included, one being a crackle coat, and one striper polish. The colours I used in this manicure include the following shades: OPI Red Shatter (I think its obvious where), Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in White Out (all of the white seen), Essie Jelly Apple (middle finger and dots on ring finger), China Glaze Ruby Pumps (pinkie), and Misa Nail Art Striper in Sexy Back (red stripes on thumb).

The different nails still make sense together and I have always been a big fan of manicures that mix and match. I really like the option for variety but the comprehension of each nail or style still going well together. Overall I like the outcome of my combination and it makes for a cute Canada Day look while I'm at work.
So there you have it, that is my manicure for Canada Day. If you are Canadian or not I'd love to hear your thoughts on my mix and match nail art look for the holiday weekend, so leave a comment and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading!

How wonderfully fun! I usually just go with a nice shade of red, but you've got me thinking I should pick up some white and play around like this for next year (or Xmas, if I can't wait that long ;D).
