| OPI 20 Candles on My Cake |
Happy Birthday to me! Today I am turning 20 years old, I
believe it is specifically sometime in the afternoon but the whole day is my
birthday! I have a pretty polish to show you today.
This polish is a super special post for me and it has a
little story to go with it. We’ll see how much of a nail polish addict you are if you get it or not. My friends think I’m nuts but I am positive many of you
will understand.
I bought this polish nearly two years ago. And I have never
touched it. Not even a single finger swatch. I waited and waited for this day
to come. This polish is OPI 20 Candles On my Cake. So of course, it had to be
my 20th birthday polish. It has been staring at me for almost two
years but I resisted until this morning to finally get to put it on. It seemed
symbolic by the name and this being my 20th birthday. I know it may
be crazy to buy a polish and wait for two years to wear it, but to me it made
total sense. What about to you guys?
The colour is a really pretty dusty red/pink rose. It is
hard to tell if it falls in the pink or red category since it isn’t a true form
of either. It has a nice unique tone to it that none of my other polishes have.
With over 600 in my stash it can be hard to find an original.

The formula was really nice too. It applied smoothly and
covered in two coats. OPI is usually pretty good for me to work with and this
was no exception. I understand the polish is from a fairly old collection but
my results were the same as with a recent shade. Pretty colour, easy application,
overall a good polish to pick up.
There you have it, my birthday polish colour! I’m off to go
shopping now, but I am trying to restrain from buying any polishes. I bought
myself a BlackBerry Playbook for my birthday.
