Bloody Drip Halloween Nail Art

Bloody Drip Nail Art

Hey everyone! I hope your weekend went well and if celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving I hope you got some pumpkin pie! Today I have some bloody nail art to show you to get into the Halloween spirit.

As some of you may know if you followed me from my previous blog, I am not at all into Halloween. I hate the creepy scary spookiness of the holiday and I really don’t do well with things like haunted houses or zombie costumes. I’m much more the type to dress up as a princess and wear glittery makeup. I decided I had to branch out this year so I tried out some bloody nail art to see if I could get into the spooky spirit of Halloween.

These nails were so easy to do and they turned out exactly like I had imagined. I started with a base of two coats of OPI San Tan-Tonio, which is a polish I really love. Its a perfect match to my skin tone so it really is a nude nail polish on me. I love nude nails in the Fall since it seems so similar to the colours in nature.

I added a swatch photo so you can see the polish on its own before I bloodied it up.

I added the drips with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Cherry Red. It turned out to be a great blood red and it looks fairly realistic. I painted a thin line of red across my nail tip and then used a bobby pin to drag some drips down the rest of my nail. It was really easy to do but it definitely ended up looking just the way I wanted.

This is about as gory as I can get for Halloween so I hope you enjoyed my experiment with creepy nail art today! Are you guys all in for Halloween or is it too spooky for your style? Leave a comment and let me know!

Thanks for reading!
