Good afternoon everyone! Today I have some simple nail art in support of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month.
|Breast Cancer Ribbon Konad Matte|
I started with three coats of OPI Alpine Snow Matte. I love how quickly matte polishes dry, but sometimes it can be tough when they need more than one layer and start to dry weirdly on top of each other. Not sure if you guys know what I mean but hopefully it makes sense.
Anyways, after the three layers of white I grabbed my Konad plate m63 and got to work with the design that looks like ribbons. I used this one last year for my Breast Cancer manicure but with the site switch and everything it kind of got lost. I used pink on pink for that one, but with this I decided I wanted more contrast with the colours so I used the white base and pink to stamp with.
My pink ribbons were done with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Presto Pink. I really love stamping with the Insta-Dri polishes since they work so well and have a great range of colours. At first I left my manicure matte, but then I did go over it with a top coat, and I included a photo of each. You can’t see a huge difference but in person it is more noticeable. It looked to dry with the matte white, even though I love matte with other colours.

It’s a pretty simple design but I like how it makes the ribbons the focal point and really stands out. I like this for my Breast Cancer manicure and hopefully you guys do too!
