Today I have a pretty pink manicure to show you in celebration of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I personally love pink anyways so when a whole month is dedicated to it and its for a good cause I just can't resist.

Last year I did some ribbon stamped nail art for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I am thinking of doing that again this year just because it isn't on this blog. I also wanted to do some more pink manicures so look out for those this month as well.

Essie recently released a collection of four pink polishes called Raise Awareness and it consists of 4 shades of pink polishes with some really cute names. We're In This Together, I Am Strong, Good Morning Hope, and Check-Up.

Essie I Am Strong under OPI Teenage Dream

I was in Trade Secrets the other day and I was looking at the four shades trying to decide which one to pick, and something about I Am Strong just spoke to me. I really liked the shade of pink, it was medium tone and not something I had in my current collection.

The application was really good and the polish was fairly thick. I had worried it would be thin and need quite a few coats but it was perfect after just two. The colour on its own was really nice, not too light or dark.

I left it alone for a little while but then decided I wanted to add some sparkle. I went with a favourite of mine, OPI Teenage Dream. This is one of my favourite polishes out of the hundreds I own.

After two coats of I Am Strong and two more of Teenage Dream, I am really happy with this manicure. I love the pink and the sparkle, its so girly and totally me.

This manicure was done in support all of the women who had had to fight against breast cancer. Every one of them is so strong and its so inspirational to see the journeys they have been on.
