Freehand Christmas Lights

As some of you may know by now, freehand is not my strong suit. I love experimenting and trying out some simple designs, but they are far from the amazing designs that some bloggers can do. But with the Christmas spirit I had to try my hand (get the joke?) at this freehand design.

Freehand Christmas Lights

It is supposed to look like a string of Christmas lights, and hopefully all of you see that. My lines and lights are a little thicker/bigger than I had hoped but I still get the overall look. I used Misa stripers for the lights and that Sinful Colors black polish as the string. The grey base is a Model's Own polish, which I actually really love. It is such a nice grey and application is great. I cannot recall the names of those right now and I am away from my stash, but if anyone is curious just let me know and I will find out for you.

How do you guys think I did with this design? I think you can tell what it is sort of, but I don't love it as much as I wanted to in my head. Like I always say though, I can't even draw stick people so freehand nail art is not something that comes naturally to me.

Its a pretty quick post for today since I am spending the weekend with my grandparents and cousins for our annual gingerbread house making. I love those kind of family traditions and I look forward to this weekend all year long.

Do you have any holiday traditions that you love? I'd love to hear about them, or hear what you think of my freehand lights, so leave a comment and let me know!

    1. Haha thank you Rachael! I need to find a skinnier brush or something to make those lines! :)
