I am so glad my last post of this went well and so many of you shared your opinions! I would love for that to happen again so I have come up with a few more questions so we can get to know each other even more.
This week I spent a lot of time reading beauty blogs and magazines, so I saw a whole bunch of products and pictures that inspired me to think of a few things I would love to talk about.
1) What is your favourite magazine to get beauty inspiration from? For me this depends on the type of inspiration I am looking for. I find that I get good ideas for products to try when I browse through things like Elle or Vogue, but for styles or ways to apply makeup I like Cosmo and Glamour. I also read them online and find the tutorial posts or instructional articles very helpful. I generally enjoy flipping through any magazine though, so I look forward to your answers so I can get some suggestions to check out!
2) How often do you file your nails? I personally have always wondered if there is some timeline to follow for this, but I tend to just file them when they seem to need it. That happens if I break one nail or something, then I end up having to make them all the same length. Typically this happens to my every few weeks so i usually go quite a while between filing session.
3) Do you wear eye shadow every day or just on special occasions? I seriously wish I was that kind of girl who has awesome eye makeup every day, but it really doesn't happen nearly as often as I would like. Even neutral shadow for daily use would be great, but somehow I seem to forget or run out of time when I get ready in the mornings. I would say it happens a few times a month when I actually do some sort of eye makeup for my daily classes and work, but for sure if I have a special event or night out then I will make sure to make time for it.

ReplyDelete1. I usually don't read magazines for beauty inspiration! Haha, I read Seventeen and Cleo and if I come across anything pretty or cute then I will like take note of it or read up more about it online if it interests me! I especially love reading about new products and their reviews the best though!
2. I file my nails everytime I cut them. Like I'll trim my nails once a week and file them because trimming them always makes the edges of my nails sharp and pointy. Haha so I'm wondering, you don't file your nails after trimming them?
3. Haha, I'm actually not particularly fond of makeup and the same goes for eye shadow. It's probably because I don't have great skin so I'm afraid of clogged pores and breakouts :/ But yeah, I'll use them for special occasions!

DeleteI have never heard of Cleo, what kind of magazine is that? I love seeing advertisements of fun products and then going online to read blogger reviews!
I don't usually need to trim or file my nails, unless one breaks badly. They grow very slowly so I get a lot of time between needing to shape them and such.

Haha it's like a young adult magazine! But I think it's only available where I'm from! It has everything ranging from fashion, celeb news to relationship stuff. I love blogger reviews too! They seem so much more personal than magazine reviews LOL.

It's a very rare thing for me to grab any kind of beauty or fashion magazine. I really don't enjoy them. However I find a lot of inspiration online, on blogs and YT of course.
2) How often do you file your nails?
I have to file my nails every two weeks if I want to keep my sanity and keep my nails healthy and free of breaks.
3) Do you wear eye shadow every day or just on special occasions?
I pretty much wear eye makeup every day. Special occasions get special makeup, more dramatic or more colorful, colored kajal, in general just more or louder. On regular days I just wear neutral eyeshadow and black kajal.

DeleteI have a few subscriptions so I usually browse those magazines but I rarely buy ones off the shelf. I have never been big on the whole Youtube thing, but if you get some good ideas from there I might have to check it out!
Your eye makeup looks sound so fun! I love seeing colourful shadows and liners, I am just too scared to try them myself!
