| L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Caresse Shine Stains |
Hello dear readers. I have some super lip stains to show you guys today! If you have been following me on Twitter you might have seen me raving about these in the last few weeks. I think I'm in love.
I was instantly into these when I first saw the commercial
and now that I have seen these lip stains in action my love has only grown.
L’Oreal Paris is just throwing out amazing products left right and centre in the last little while and
these lippies are at the top of the list for me.
I adore lip stains since the
freedom of not having to reapply is something I really value. I also love the glossy
feel and shine of lipgloss though. The L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine
Stain line delivers both of those aspects in one gorgeous little tube. I have three shades to show you today, 186 Berry Persistent, 190 Endless Red, and 185 Lilac Ever After.
Let’s talk about that tube for a minute. I think it is
fantastic and it gives me a very vintage high-end feel. I feel like Audrey
Hepburn might carry something like this in her clutch and it looks so expensive
and formal. It reminds me of something my Grandma might have bought at a fancy
department store, but this L’Oreal lippie is at drugstore prices. The tube
screams glamour to me, and the product inside lives up to the look.

The wand of these lip stains is so cute and I actually like
the way it applies. Fuller brushes for lipgloss of lip stains can be tricky for
smaller lips like mine, so this tapered point makes it easier for me to get
colour where I want it.
The formula is medium-sheer but you can build it up and it leaves a stain for sure.
I like the wet look and how this stain seems to be a gloss, but doesn't feel
sticky or slimy like gloss usually does. My mom always says that lip stains were basically garage door paint in her days. This is most definitely not like that! It almost feels oily on my lips, which
could also be called smooth. It was a smoothness I have never felt before.

The colour lasts a long time too, although it fades after
eating and drinking throughout the day. I found Endless Red to be very vivid after a few hours,
and still going strong after an entire day. Funny story - my brother got home around 10pm on the day I wore this and the first thing he asked when he walked in the door was "Are your lips bleeding?", so I think that proves how long the red lasted!
The lightest shade, Lilac Ever After, had a bit
shorter of a run but it still left some colour on my lips at the end of my
test. It has a lovely hint of gold shimmer in real life, but it is tough to see in my photos here.
Berry Persistent lived up to the name and left me with bright bold lips after an entire work day, including a coffee and sandwich. I really love these lip stains and have added a few more to my collection already. I would highly recommend you check these out!
Thanks for stopping by!

They look great! I'll have to try them. Apparently they are a good dupe for the YSL glossy stains, and since L'Oreal owns YSL, I'm betting they're pretty close :) Berry Persistent looks gorgeous. Great review :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any YSL ones but your idea makes sense! These are definitely amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat berry is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt might be my fave of the ones I have!
