Maybelline Eye Studio Master Duo Eyeliner: Review

Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Eyeliner
Hey beauties! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and staying warm. We got a lot of snow where  I am and the schools were even closed on Friday. It finally feels like winter and I am hoping this won't last too much longer. I am definitely more of a summer girl.

Today I have a cute product to show you guys. I may have mentioned this before but I am seriously an eyeliner failure. I cannot manage to do a cat-eye or winged liner look no matter how many You-Tube videos I watch. Something about it just escapes me and I and up with one thicker than the other, or a spot missing by my lashline. One of my goals is to learn but so far I am still struggling. I did find something that helped me out though, and I wanted to show you guys what it is.

Maybelline's latest liquid eyeliner is the Eye Studio Master Duo, which comes with a wand that you can rotate for two sizes. When I saw the ads I thought it would be two different brushes, but its the same one in a funky shape. It has a flat bubble like end tip, so if you lay it one way the width of the bubble makes a thicker line, but if you hold it on the side the thin flat line makes a skinny liner look.

I think this is great for people like me, or people who just want options, because ti allows for a variation. typical eyeliner whether it be pencil or liquid only goes on one way, however thick or thin the brush or pencil point is. Maybelline's Master Duo lets you pick your thickness depending on your mood or skill level like me. I've found it really helpful in my learning process to use the think flat side and then add more if necessary.  In my swatch photo I showed my hair elastic on my wrist to compare the thickness of the eyeliner lines.

The formula of this liquid liner is fairly thin, but once its on it is opaque. I only have the black one but I have heard that the coloured ones need some serious shaking to fix their thin formulas.

It stays on for quite some time and although my wrist swatches washed off in a few hours I am sure they got a lot more action than my eyelids usually do. It is super smooth to draw this liner on with either side of the unique brush, and if that's coming from a beginner like me then you know its pretty foolproof.

Overall I like the options that this liner offers, and the smooth light formula feels like I'm not wearing anything, which I take as a positive. Its a little unusual but I always like to try new beauty products so if you're looking for a funky eyeliner to try I would suggest checking this one out.
